The French publication ran a narrative that includes cartoons of the Islamic prophet, two of which – the drawings taken from satirical journal Charlie Hebdo – have been a part of a lesson on freedom of speech given by Paty.

Notably, Hassen Chalghoumi, president of the Convention of Imams of France, claims that he warned the mosque’s rector a few “fundamentalist” inside his congregation.
The French authorities has vowed to crack down on Islamic extremism within the nation following Paty’s killing. Tens of 1000’s of demonstrators rallied in Paris and cities throughout France to denounce the instructor’s homicide.
